I have medical insurance from Birla Sunlife Insurnnce, can I have switch over from theie to any other company mediclaim policy i.e .max bapa family floater plan. And if yes can my restrictions for pre existing diease for 48 month will start again from begging or old policy period cover that 48...

Health Insurance Portability has become effective from October 1, 2011. Hence if your agent has changed your insurance policy before that, you will not get coverage for the previous years. You would have got continuity if the same was done after October 1, 2011.

As health insurance portability is available can I change from (health policy from icici prudential) to any other health insurance providing pregnancy cover because it is not covered in my existing policy if yes what will be the formality ?

Money Back Policy is an Endowment Life Insurance Policy. It cannot be converted to a Mediclaim Policy as it is offered by a general insurance company.
