If you need a pension of Rs 30,000 after 17 years, then even at a high pension rate of 10% p.a., your minimum corpus should be x. Then Annual Pension needs to be 30000 X 12, i.e. Rs 360000



10% of x = 30000 X 12, i.e. x = 360000 / 10%, i.e. x = Rs 36,00,000.
