Let me explain it to you with an example. Suppose you have a life insurance of Rs 10 lakhs and your friend also has a Life insurance Policy of Rs 10 lakhs but with an additional accidental benefit rider of Rs 5 lakhs.

Some term insurance offer additional rider of accidental death. Does this mean that those that don't have the rider, will not make a payout of the sum assured if the rider is not taken and person gets killed in an accident?
