Question

My brother in law was holding three motor vehicles, one two wheeler & two four wheelers. He lost his life in road accident while driving one of his four wheeler. All of the Vehicles were insured by separate comprehensive insurance policies along with personal accident insurance cover. Are we entitled for personal accidental claims in all the policies or not

Answer

It entirely depends on the type of policies he had. If the Motor Insurance Policies cover death along with Personal Accident Coverage, then you are entitled to Death Benefit. However, if only personal accident is covered, then it is Survival benefit and is not payable if the Life Insured dies in the accident.

Please read the terms and conditions of the plan to find out if you can claim or not or specifically mention the names of the policies fo us to be able to assist you further.
