General Insurance Companies register a positive growth in July

Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has released the business figures of all general or non-life insurance companies in India. For the month July 2011, these companies have collectively recorded an 18.5% growth over their premium collections in July 2010.

Star Health Insurance premium collection takes a 51 percent hit

The premium collections of Star Health & Allied Insurance, for the month of July 2011, have declined by 51% over its collections in July last year. Apollo Munich doubles its health insurance premium collection

Apollo Munich Health Insurance has shown a remarkable growth of 147.21% in its premium collections during the financial year 2010-2011 as compared to last year.
