LIC Jeevan Arogya policy to be launched today

LIC will be launching a new plan 'Jeevan Arogya' today for its customers in India. Jeevan Arogya is a non-linked health insurance plan which offers comprehensive hospitalisation benefit for the entire family of the policyholder.

LIC Jeevan Arogya policy is open to individuals in the age group of 18 years to 65 years. The maximum age at entry for parents and in-laws is 75 years. For minor children, the minimum entry age is 91 days while maximum entry age is 17 years.

This plan will provide a cover for members of the family including minor children up to the age of 25 years and major family members up to the age of 80 years. The most unique feature of LIC Jeevan Arogya is that in addition to covering spouse, children and parents of the insured member, the same policy can also be extended to cover parents-in-law.
 

Policyholder has the option of including additional members or remove existing members of the family in case of any change in the family structure or circumstances.
 

'LIC Jeevan Arogya' aims to cover different hospitalisation needs of the policyholder and insured family members. It covers all surgeries which include 140 day care procedures which do not require 24 hour hospitalisation as well as 140 major surgeries. It also covers all other surgeries under special category of other surgical benefits. It also has a quick cash facility which allows 50% ownership as advance in case of 57 major specified surgeries.

A maximum of 3 surgeries are covered in one year subject to life time benefit of 24 surgeries in respect of each insured member.

Premium rates on Jeevan Arogya policy will differ as per the age, health cover options, gender, mode of payment chosen etc. On opting for higher sum assured and either half-yearly or yearly mode of payment, the plan offers attractive rebates.
