Life Insurance Council of India to elect 3 members for its Executive Committee (EC). The EC members are being appointed in accord with the changes made in the Insurance Act. The members will be from the below list of the contenders, they are all heads of various private life insurers:
Rajesh Sud (Max Life),
Tarun Chugh (PNB Met Life),
Anup Rau (Reliance Life),
Sandeep Ghosh (Bharti AXA),
Arijit Basu (SBI Life)
Deepak Mittal (Edelweiss Tokio Life)
On July 31st, Life Insurance Council will declare the 3 key members and also the Chairman of Executive Committee. The Insurance Development Authority of India (IRDAI) will conduct a final round of interview with the elected candidates.
Life Insurance Council is a forum that connects the various stakeholders of the sector. It develops and coordinates all discussions between the Government, Regulatory Board and the Public.
