In a new initiative Reliance Life insurance company plans to train 1 lakh aspiring agents to sell insurance products. The company will assist these agents and guide them through the entire process.

The move will involve a 3 day refresher training, mock tests at different branches in India. In addition to this, the branches will assist these agents in filling out the registration forms and completing all the formalities.

Once these agents become certified, they will become a part of Reliance Life’s existing pool of workforce. Currently, the company has 2,13,000 insurance advisors and aims to take this number close to 3,00,000 in one year.

Mr. Malay Ghosh, Executive Director and President of Reliance Life Insurance said that this is one of the best initiatives taken by a private insurance company.

As per the current norms, an aspiring insurance agent is required to undergo 50 hours of training. Reliance Life will ensure that they add more value by conducting additional training to help them get used to the online tests. It will help them hone their skills and become tech savvy.
