PM Modi to launch Start-up in New Delhi

Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl, Shop Clues founder Radhika Agarwal, Oyo Rooms’ Ritesh Agarwal are some of the high profile names said to be in attendance.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Start-up India movement at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Saturday. 

The event will be attended by CEOs, entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists such as SoftBank Founder and CEO Masayoshi Son and Founder of WeWork Adam Neumann. 

The PM will release the Start-up Action Plan at the event, which reports say, will be attended by top Indian start-ups and businesses. Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal, Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Snapdeal’s Kunal Bahl, Shop Clues founder Radhika Agarwal, Oyo Rooms’ Ritesh Agarwal are some of the high profile names said to be in attendance. 

A day-long workshop on start-up entrepreneurship and panel discussions on various aspects of the subject is also scheduled.  

Key government officials will answer questions on how the government will be creating an enabling ecosystem for Startups in a unique Q&A session. 

The objective of Start-up India is to create an ecosystem that is conducive to the growth of Startups in India. 

The event will be telecast live in IITs, IIMs, NITs, IIITs, and Central Universities and to youth groups in over 350 districts of India.
