Himanshu Mehani May 27, 2017 Share this interaction Share this Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Hello, We had bought HDFC ClassicAssure Plus plan in 2013. The policy says the plan will lapse if the premium is not paid. We paid one premium of ~Rs.1,30,000. Later we realized that the plan had very low value in future, so we stopped paying the premium. Since then we are asking HDFC to return our money after deducting their penalties. But HDFC has continuously refused saying the plan is lapsed and no money will be returned, only option is to pay the remaining four premiums. Then apply for encash in 2018's quotation. Then also there's no guarantee how much we will receive. Please help, I'm sure insurance company cannot keep our money just like that.. Not much you can do about it. I would not recommend paying more premiums also as the surrender values are terrible - you will get less than what you have paid..
