Met Suraksha Plus Term Insurance Plan
Met Suraksha Plus is an extended version of MetLife Suraksha Plan which is a vanilla term plan from MetLife. It has low and affordable premiums for very high coverage as it gives large sum assured discount. Thus if the life insured dies within the policy tenure, the nominee would get the Sum Assured. However, if the life insured survives the entire term, nothing else is payable to him on maturity.
Key Features of Met Suraksha Plus Plan
§ It is a pure level Term Insurance Policy with Death Benefit only and no Maturity Benefit.
§ There are options for single and limited pay along with regular payment options.
§ Additional cover with riders is available and Special discount is given for Non-smokers.
§ High coverage till 70 years of age and 35 years of policy tenure.
Benefits you get from Met Suraksha Plus Plan
Death Benefit – Sum Assured is the only death benefit available if the life insured dies within the policy term.
Maturity Benefit – There are no maturity benefits under this plan.
Income Tax Benefit - Life Insurance premiums paid up to Rs.1,00,000 are allowed as a deduction from the taxable income each year under section 80C

What happens if?
You stop paying the premium - If the policy holder stops paying the premium, then all benefits of the policy will cease after the expiry of the grace period from the due date of the first unpaid premium. You can re-instate the policy within 3 years of lapsation by paying up all due premiums with interest.
You want to surrender the policy – Surrender benefits are not available under this term plan.
You want a loan against your policy – Loan facility is not available under this policy.
