Accidental death: If the insured dies because of an accident, the complete sum insured will be transferred to the nominee as ‘death benefit’. 

Permanent total disablement: If the insured is suffering from permanent total disablement due to an accident, he/she is entitled to receive 100% payout of the sum-insured. What constitutes Permanent Total Disability in this plan - Know more.

Permanent partial disablement: If the insured is suffering from permanent partial disablement post accident i.e loss of an eye, loss of a thumb. Funeral expenses: When insured dies because of an accident then in such a case 1% of sum-insured, maximum up to Rs.50,000 is provided by the company as funeral or cremation expenses.

Education benefits: If the insured dies because of an accident then in such a situation 10% of sum-insured, upto a maximum Rs.10 lakhs, will be given by the company to the surviving child for educational purposes. 

Repatriation of mortal remains: In this benefit, lump sum payment of Rs. 50,000 shall be given by the company for transporting the mortal remains from the place of accident to the insured’s residence or burial ground.

Compassionate visit: In this feature, travel expenses will be covered by the company for an immediate relative to visit the place where the insured is hospitalized. The maximum amount of reimbursement for domestic travel is up to Rs.10,000 and for International travel the limit is up to Rs.25,000.

Emergency road ambulance cover: This facility is used in case of urgent requirement where the situation is quite serious for the insured. Reimbursement up to Rs. 10,000 shall be provided by the company in this feature.

Optional Covers in Aditya Birla Active Secure Personal Accident Plan

Optional Covers consists of some extra benefits which can be added to your policy with base coverage at enhanced premium. 

Temporary total disablement: Weekly compensation shall be given for the loss of income in this benefit. Maximum amount up to Rs. 50,000 shall be given in this benefit for up to max 100 weeks.

Loan and EMI benefit: In this monthly installments will be covered as EMI benefit and financial assistance will be provided to cover the outstanding loan amount according to the policy terms. 
            
Coma benefit: In case the person goes into coma after an accident, he/she gets benefit equal to Accident death cover and maximum of Rs.10 lakh.

Exclusions in Aditya Birla Active Secure Personal Accident plan

These are the situations in which the Aditya Birla Personal Accident Plan will not function. You will not be able to claim anything in such scenarios.
  • A person committing Suicide or attempted suicide, intentional self-injury.
  • Someone who has Venereal disease, mental Illness or sickness, psychiatric condition.
