Bharti AXA Smart Individual Personal Accident Insurance Plan is a Personal Accident Insurance Policy which offers compensation in case of Accidental Death, Permanent and Temporary Total Disability and Permanent Partial Disability as well as Dismemberment of limbs, etc.
How it works – In this plan, premium needs to be paid in a lump sum and can be availed for a period of 12 months. This policy can be availed for the entire family as well which includes self, spouse and dependent children till 23 years of age. This plan covers Accidental Death, Total and Permanent Disability as well as Permanent Partial Disability and Dismemberment.
There are 4 variants of this plan:
- Smart PA – Basic
- Smart PA – Standard without Medical
- Smart PA – Standard
- Smart PA – Gold
The Regular Benefits in all the 4 Plan Variants:
- Accidental Death Benefit
- Permanent Total Disability
- Transportation of mortal remains from the place of accident to the residence
- Permanent Partial Disablement
- Education Grant per child, up to 2 children in case of death and disability of the Life Insured
The Additional Benefits of this plan, which are available in some variant or the other:
- Temporary Total Disablement Benefit is available in Smart PA – Standard without Medical, Smart PA – Standard and Smart PA – Gold Variants
- Funeral Expenses reimbursement for deceased Life Insured is available under Smart PA – Standard and Smart PA – Gold Variants
- Hospital Daily Cash Benefit is payable after the first 2 days is available in Smart PA – Standard without Medical, Smart PA – Standard and Smart PA – Gold Variants
- Accidental Medical Expenses reimbursement is available in Smart PA – Standard and Smart PA – Gold Variants
- Double Indemnity, for accidental death or Permanent Total Disability while travelling as a passenger in a public conveyance is available in Smart PA – Standard and Smart PA – Gold Variants

- Transportation of Mortal Remains: This plan allows a payment of 1% of the Sum Insured towards expenses incurred for transportation of Insured Person’s dead body from the place of accident to the place of residence
- Funeral Expenses: This plan allows a payment towards expenses incurred for funeral in the case of accidental death
- Education Grant for Children: This plan allows a fixed payment of Rs. 10,000 per dependent child up to the age of 23 years for education purpose in case of accidental death or the permanent total disablement of the Life Insured
- Hospital Daily Cash Allowance: This plan pays for a Daily Cash Benefit that is payable in case of accidental hospitalization
- Accidental Medical Expenses: This plan allows for reimbursement of reimbursement of Medical Expenses due to Accidental Purpose
- Double Indemnity Benefit is payable for Accidental Death or Permanent Total Disability while travelling as a passenger in a public conveyance

Family Floater Policy will cover

There is no Tax Benefit under this plan
Exclusions - What is not covered in Bharti AXA Smart Individual Personal Accident Insurance Plan?
This policy does not provide benefits for any Death, Disability, expense or loss incurred in result of any injury attributable directly or indirectly to the following:
- Non Accident Cases are not entertained in this plan
- Death or disablement caused by, contributed to or aggravated or prolonged by child birth or from pregnancy or in consequence of pregnancy or childbirth
- Compensation under more than one of the foregoing Clauses in respect of the same period of disablement except the Add-on covers
- Payment of compensation in respect of death, injury or disablement of the Insured Person due to or arising out of war and war like operations as well as nuclear perils
