The Indian Insurance award, which was held on 21st June 2013 in Mumbai, awarded AEGON Religare Life Insurance as the E-Business Leader. The company was honoured with this award under the category of Overall Insurance Industry Awards. Mr. S. B. Mathur, part time member IRDA, Former Secretary General, Life Insurance council, Mr. R. Krishnamurthy, senior advisor, Tower Watson, Mr. A. K. Roy, Chairman and Managing Director – General Insurance Company, Mr. V. Manickam – Secretary General, Life Insurance Council, Mr. R. Chandrasekaran – Secretary General  – General Insurance council were the judges declaring the awards.

The company had launched e–friendly products like AEGON Religare iTerm Plan, AEGON Religare iMaximize Plan and AEGON Religare iHealth Plan.

This E- Business awards is given to the insurance company that has set up the online channel successful marketing, lead generation and sales for the business. This award also aims to praise the insurer giving special emphasis on online distribution channel.

Mr. K.S. Gopalkrishnan – Executive Director of AEGON Religare Life Insurance said that we are extremely proud and happy to be awarded as the E – Business leader at the Indian Insurance Awards. Also company will continue to work on E-sales distribution and strengthen online presence. In addition to this, the award will also strengthen the position of the company as a leader of online life insurance in India.

AEGON Religare Life Insurance is a joint venture between AEGON – a life insurance, pension and Investment Company and Religare – a global financial service group and Bennett, Coleman and Company. AEGON holds 26% of the share capital, whereas 44% shares is held by Religare and balance 30% is held by Bennett, Coleman and Company.
