Bharti AXA General Insurance has partnered with AXA assistance to provide Roadside assistance for cars in India. The cover will be provided in 22 States across 1500 locations.
Car breakdown as a result of a flat tyre, running out of fuel, accidents etc is a common problem and causes a lot of inconvenience. Every day, more number of cars are getting added to the already congested roads in the metros. Bharti AXAs roadside assistance aims to provide premium services 24/7 to customers in case of immobilization of the vehicle due to a breakdown or an accident.
This attractive cover is priced at Re 1/day or Rs 365 (plus taxes) for a year. Only private cars that are under 5 years old are covered. Customers can call on a toll free number 1800-1020-100 and receive immediate assistance within 30 minutes. At time of breakdown, the insured customer will have to mention either the policy number, registration number, cover note number or engine / chassis number on the call.

The insurance company has teamed up with various motor service providers to offer multi-lingual support to customers. Currently, they have 3175 Active Server Pages (ASP) servicing from identified locations. The scope of the assistance extends to a) Repair Services for Minor Breakdowns, b) Changing of flat tyre, c) Vehicle relocation to the nearest garage in case of major breakdown, d) Assistance in case of Lockout/ lost keys, e) Alternative transport assistance to the nearest safe location for passengers, f) Arrangement of emergency fuel.
Insured customers get unlimited interventions during the policy period. This is a rather unique cover with multiple benefits at a reasonable and affordable price.
