The Board of Directors of Reliance General Insurance today announced the appointment of Rakesh Jain as their new CEO and Executive Director of the company.
Rakesh Jain is 41 years old and brings with him over 17 years of experience. Prior to his new role with Reliance General Insurance, he served as the Director – Corporate Centre and CFO of ICICI Lombard General Insurance. He succeeds Vijay Pawar, Executive Director and CEO, Reliance General Insurance.
Reliance General Insurance is a part of Reliance Capital, and is a private insurance player with products like health insurance, motor insurance, travel insurance etc and over 94 customised non-life insurance products catering to the corporate, SME and individual customers.
Sam Ghosh, CEO of Reliance Capital said, “Mr Pawar has been instrumental in building the company in challenging times. He will continue to provide inputs and guide the company as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the company.”
