Tata AIG General Insurance Company posted a Profit after Tax of Rs. 11.54 crores in the first half of this financial year as compared to a loss of Rs. 7.23 crores in the same period last year. This is part of the un-audited financial results which the company declared for the H1 2010-2011.
Net Premiums Earned
The company has seen an increase in the premium collected in Marine and Miscellaneous Insurance (which includes health, motor and travel insurance) while the premiums have dropped in Fire insurance.

Tata AIG General Insurance has seen substantial improvements in the operating profits of its marine and miscellaneous insurance businesses.

Profit After Tax:
The company posted Rs. 11.54 crores as Profit after Tax in the first half of this year. The investment income of the company helped achieve this profitability. The investment income of the company grew from 15.62 crores to 16.77 crores in the first half of the current financial year.
