In a first of its kind initiative, Aviva announced the launch of Child Future Planning Experts (CFPE), a term for trained advisors who will provide quality advice to parents.

This move has come in line with the company’s business strategy of ‘owning the child space’. Aviva plans to train almost 10% of their sales force as CFPEs to help them increase their productivity by 40%.

In the pilot process, Aviva trained close to 300 advisors as CFPEs who have recorded a 78% growth in the business generated by them.

Aviva and IMRB had conducted an Education Insights survey which highlighted the fact that investment in education is the topmost priority for Indian parents. Education costs are on the rise and are slated to grow far higher than the inflation rate. Add to that the resulting decrease in the value of money. Indian parents need a way to secure their child’s future.

Aviva India Life Insurance Company is a joint venture between Dabur India and Aviva Plc of UK. The company realizes that in today’s day and age, parents want expert advice when it comes to saving for their child’s future. This is one of the reasons for the specialized training module launched by Aviva to create Child Future Planners.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr Munish Sharda – Director of Direct Sales Force, Aviva, said, “The idea of Child Future Planning Experts stems from the recognition that a parent is grossly under saved when it comes to his/her child’s future educational needs.

The training program aims to equip Aviva advisors with the necessary skill sets to address the concerns of young Indian parents. This will also make these advisors more productive and help them explore new business beyond the natural market.

Apart from child plans like ‘Aviva Young Scholar Advantage’ and ‘Aviva Young Scholar Secure’, the company also offers a range of savings plans, protection plans, retirement or pension plans, health plans for individuals.
