A new unit-linked insurance plan launched by ING Vysya Life Insurance called Market Shield. This aims to provide unique benefits to investors who want to enjoy the upside of equity investing while retaining protection on their profits in a volatile market.

Mr. Rahul Agarwal, Chief Distribution Officer at ING Vysya said, “ING Market Shield is an of its kind ULIP. Designed such that customers can benefit from markets’ upswing due to high equity participation, but secures their investment from losses when the market is volatile. The customer gets a Guaranteed NAV throughout the term of the product and not just at maturity, unlike most available products.”

The minimum premium payable ranges from Rs. 36,000 for 10 years and Rs. 48,000 for a period of 5 years. Customers can make annual payments and choose life cover as per their need between 10 to 20 times the annual premium.

Investment in both equity and debt is to be managed actively on a day-to-day basis ensuring maximum exposure to the stock market. At the same time, it will also minimize the downside risks assuring Guaranteed NAV throughout the policy term.
