How is the Sum Assured of Death calculated in this plan?

The cover amount in the HDFC Life Sanchay Plus Plan is calculated based on some multiples which depend on the Entry Age of the policyholder. This multiple when multiplied by the Annual Premium paid by the customer will give you the amount of cover offered in the plan.

We will understand this with an example. Below are the multiples based on the Age of Entry in the policy.

Example:
If Sundeep is 30 years old when he buys the plan and if he is paying an Annual Premium of Rs. 1 lakh, his Sum Assured on Death (life cover) = 12.5 x 1 lakhs = 12.5 lakhs

If Sameer is 35 years old when he buys the plan and if he is paying an Annual Premium of Rs. 2 lakhs, his Sum Assured on Death (life cover) = 12 x 2 lakhs = 24 lakhs
