What does this plan covers?
  • Damage against Natural Calamities like fire, flood, earthquake, lightning, hurricane, storm, cyclone, landslide, etc.

Add On Coverage

This plan offers additional coverage with some add on features:

Repair of Glass, Fibre, Plastic and Rubber Parts

Under this cover the ‘No Claim Bonus’ will not be impacted if repair rather than replacement is opted for damage to only Glass, Fibre, Plastic and Rubber parts provided no other claim for damage to the vehicle is preferred during the policy period. This cover is free.

No Claim Bonus Protection

This is a protection against No Claim Bonus even if there has been a claim in the previous year.

Loss of Personal Belongings

This cover pays for the loss or damage to personal belongings inside a vehicle at the time of loss or damage to the vehicle in excess of Rs. 250.

Emergency Transport and Hotel Expenses

This cover pays the cost of overnight stay and taxi charges for returning to the place of residence or the nearest city of travel, if the vehicle becomes immobile due to an accident.

Key Replacement

This cover pays the cost to replace vehicle keys if lost or stolen, plus the cost of locks if the vehicle is broken into.

Depreciation Reimbursement

This cover offers full claim without any deduction for depreciation on the value of parts replaced. The cover is available for vehicles up to 3 years old and operates for maximum 2 claims during the policy period.

Daily Allowance

This cover pays a fixed sum towards hiring a transport while the vehicle is under repair for a valid claim and the repair time is more than 3 days. The cover will be valid for maximum 10 days and in case of Total Loss / Theft claims, validity will be up to 15 days.

Return to Invoice

This cover pays the difference between the ‘claim amount receivable’ under the policy and the ‘purchase price of vehicle’ as per invoice in case the vehicle is declared a Total Loss or a Constructive Total Loss. The cover also pays first time registration charges and road tax on the insured vehicle. Cover is available for vehicles up to 3 years old.

How it works

In this plan, premium needs to be paid every year to renew the plan. If there has been no claim in the previous year from this insurer or any, a No Claim Bonus is also payable.

Each vehicle has a Sum Assured which is called the Insured's Declared Value (IDV) of the vehicle. This is the total value of the car as declared at the beginning of the policy. It is calculated on the basis of the manufacturer's listed selling price of the brand and model as the vehicle insured at the commencement of the policy after deducting depreciation. Electronic items, theft kit, LPG/CNG kit, etc. can be added to the sum insured over and above the IDV.

In case of a claim, a cashless facility is provided in network garages or a reimbursement can be done within 7 days.

Exclusions

This plan does not cover:
  • Any accidental loss or damage and/or liability caused sustained or incurred outside the geographical area
  • Any claim arising out of any contractual liability
  • Any accidental loss damage and/or liability caused sustained or incurred whilst the vehicle insured herein is 
    • being used otherwise than in accordance with the ‘Limitations as to Use’ 
    • being driven by or is for the purpose of being driven by him/her in the charge of any person other than a Driver as stated in the Driver's Clause.
  • Any accidental loss or damage to any property whatsoever or any loss or expense whatsoever resulting or arising there from or any consequential loss
  • Any liability of whatsoever nature directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste from the combustion of nuclear fuel. For the purpose of this exception combustion shall include any self-sustaining process of nuclear fission
  •  Any accidental loss or damage or liability directly or indirectly caused by or contributed to by or arising from nuclear weapons material
  • Any accidental loss damage and/or liability directly or indirectly or proximately or remotely occasioned by contributed to by or traceable to or arising out of or in connection with war, invasion, the act of foreign enemies, hostilities or warlike   operations (whether before or after declaration of war) civil war, mutiny rebellion, military or usurped power or by any direct or indirect consequence of any of the said occurrences and in the event of any claim hereunder the insured shall prove that the accidental loss damage and/or liability arose independently of and was in no way connected with or occasioned by or contributed to by or traceable to any of the said occurrences or any consequences thereof and in default of such proof, the Company shall not be liable to make any payment in respect of such a claim
  • The Company shall not be liable for each and every claim under Section I (Loss of or damage to the vehicle insured) of this policy in respect of the deductible stated in the schedule.
  • The Company shall not be liable to make any payment in respect of:
    • Consequential loss, depreciation, wear and tear, mechanical or electrical breakdown, failure or breakages
    • Damages to Tyres and Tubes unless the vehicle is damaged at the same time in which case the liability of the company shall be limited to 50% of the cost of replacement and
    • Any accidental loss or damage suffered whilst the Insured or any person driving the vehicle with the knowledge and consent of the Insured is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or Drugs.

  • Survey of the vehicle and loss assessment by Tata AIG within 48 hours
  • Tata AIG to confirm approved amount
  • Tata AIG settles the approved amount to the garage directly

Reimbursement

  • Intimate Tata AIG 24 Hours helpline No 18002098888
  • Survey of the vehicle and loss assessment by Tata AIG within 48 hours
  • Customer needs to submit all documents to Tata AIG
  • Tata AIG processes the claim
  • Tata AIG reimburses the approved claim amount to the customer
