Key Features

Recharge of Sum Insured 

If the sum insured gets exhausted during the year, then 100% of the base sum insured will be recharged for treatment of any other illnesses.

For example, Mr. Rao made his first claim of Rs.7 lakhs for being hospitalised for treatment of corona disease in the year 2020. After his first claim, the restoration benefit will be triggered up to 100% of the cover amount i.e. Rs.10 lakhs. In the same year, Me.Rao was hospitalised for treatment of dengue and a bill amount of Rs.5 lakhs was raised. Under the recharge benefit of One Health plan, Mr. Rao doesn't have to pay anything additional as it will be covered.

Hospital Cash 

If you purchase Magma HDI OneHealth Insurance Plan, you are entitled to get a daily cash allowance of Rs. 500, Rs.1,000 & Rs. 1,500 per day in Support Plus, Shield and Premium plan respectively for your miscellaneous expenses during the hospitalisation period.

Cumulative Bonus 

This plan offers a cumulative bonus of an increase by 10% - 20% in the cover amount with every claim free year. This benefit is subject to a continuous renewal and a maximum of 50% or 100% of the cover amount. The premium variant of One Health plan offers a cumulative bonus of 33.33% on the cover amount, maximum up to 100%.

Fitness rewards and Wellness services

OneHealth plan of Magma HDI offers an exclusive benefit to its policyholder with fitness rewards over and above the other benefits. This benefit can be availed only once in a policy year for an insured person whose age is 26 years and above. Irrespective of any claims made during the year, the policyholder can avail this benefit without any additional premium.

The policyholder can earn fitness rewards through medical check up at network hospitals, by engaging in physical activities or by participating in health programs initiative sponsored by Magma HDI insurance company. The reward points earned are equivalent to the percentage of premium paid during the policy term.

In-Patient Hospitalisation

When in situations where the health conditions are critical or you are advised by the medical practitioner to get medical treatment from hospitals, all the expenses arising at hospitalisation will be covered under OneHealth Insurance.

Pre & Post Hospitalisation

In the OneHealth Plan, expenses occurring before being hospitalised and post discharge from hospital are covered. Any medical expenses incurred 30/60 days prior to hospitalisation and 60/90 days post discharge in support, secure, support plus, shield & premium plan variants respectively are covered under this plan. The cost incurred is accepted if the policyholder is admitted in-patient for the same reason.

Day Care Treatment

Day care procedures are when the policyholder takes medical treatment at a hospital  that doesn't require hospitalisation for more than 24 hours. The expenses related to daycare treatments or even OPD treatments, diagnostic tests are all covered under the Magma HDI One Health Insurance Plan. Around 10+ day care procedures are covered under this Plan.

Worldwide Emergency Hospitalisation

This plan offers cover for medical expenses incurred outside India, up to the limit of the cover amount. The cover amount may differ from the variant a policyholder may choose. In order to avail this benefit, the policyholder has to fulfil the below criterias:

  • There is a necessity for medical treatment as prescribed by a medical practitioner
  • It can be availed only during the in-patient hospitalisation
  • All the claims under this benefit is subject ot the deductible as specified under each variant
  • The worldwide emergency hospitalisation can be availed only on cashless facility
Early Joining Benefit

In a situation of 5 claim free years, then One Health plan of Magma HDI offers a one-time bonus of Rs. 2,500 in the 6th year. Also in case of 10 claim free years, the insurer provides Rs. 5,000 as one time bonus in the 11th policy year. This benefit can be availed only if the following criteria are met:

  • The age of the senior most member of the policy at the time of claiming is less than 40 years and the policy is renewed on a continuous basis.
  • The amount provided under this benefit can be reimbursed for any out-patient medical expenses including the purchase of drugs at a pharmacy.
  • The unutilized amount from this benefit can be carried forward to subsequent policy years.
Co-payment

In the One Health Insurance Plan of Magma HDI, there is a mandatory co-payment of 20% for every claim made during the policy period. Co-payment is applicable only in cases where the insured person is 61 years and above.

Second E-Opinion

In case the policyholder is diagnosed with a major illness, the insurer can arrange for a second opinion from any of the medical practitioner or empaneled network hospitals. This benefit can be availed only once in the policy period. Also, the policyholder is free to choose whether to opt for second opinion through this optional benefit or not to act on it.

Annual Health check-up

One can avail a health check up for various diagnostic tests right from the day the policy is purchased. You can utilise the health check up facility on a cashless basis at any Magma HDI Network Hospitals

Domiciliary Treatment

Domiciliary hospitalisation is medical treatment of illnesses, which is a normal situation that is done at a hospital. In a situation where the illness or disease can be treated by giving home treatment and as advised by the Doctor, then it will be treated as Domiciliary hospitalisation. The expenses incurred during domiciliary hospitalisation in the policy period will be covered up to the limit of the cover amount opted by the policyholder. All the expenses will be reimbursed for medical treatment taken at home exceeding 3 days.

Organ Donor Expenses

Plan covers the expenses arising for the organ donors in-patient hospitalisation. The expenses for harvesting of organ donated and in-patient hospitalisation is reimbursed up to the limit of chosen cover amount.

Modern Treatment

In this plan, expenses incurred for the treatment of modern procedures are covered up to the limit of cover amount. The modern procedures covered under the OneHealth plan are as below:

  • Uterine Artery Embolization and HIFU (High intensity focused ultrasound)
  • Balloon Sinuplasty
  • Deep Brain stimulation
  • Oral chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy- Monoclonal Antibody to be given as injection
  • Intra vitreal injections
  • Robotic surgeries
  • Stereotactic radio surgeries
  • Bronchial Thermoplasty
  • Vaporisation of the prostate (Green laser treatment or holmium laser treatment)
  • IONM - (Intra Operative Neuro Monitoring)
  • Stem cell therapy
Ambulance Cover

In the One Health Insurance Plan, if the policyholder opts for ambulance transportation to the nearest hospital or in case of transfer of hospitalisation for better medical treatment, or for any other medical emergency then the expenses incurred will be covered. Expenses covered vary on the basis of the plan chosen by the policyholder.

AYUSH Treatment

AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Unani, Siddhi, and Homoeopathy treatments, which are covered under this plan. Expenses related to any of such treatments are covered up to the limit of cover amount. This benefit can be availed only if the policyholder opts for AYUSH treatment at any of the government hospitals or any institute recognised by government  up to the limit of the cover amount.

Bariatric Surgery

This plan covers the Medical Expenses incurred by the Insured Person during the Policy Period for undergoing medically necessary Bariatric Surgery prescribed by a specialist Medical Practitioner. It covers expenses up to the limit of the cover amount in each variant chosen by the policyholder. These expenses will be covered only after completion of 3 years to the policy.

Green Channel Benefit

One Health plan offers an exclusive benefit of Green Channel to its policyholder.If the policyholder opts for cashless hospitalisation at any of the preferred provider network hospitals, then the insurer provides a one time additional amount. This amount is provided for each hospitalisation as reimbursement against :
Any of the expenses for non-payable in respect of that particular hospitalisation or
Expenses that accounts to health wearable device purchased by the policyholder

The maximum amount paid under this benefit for each hospitalisation is as below:

Compassionate Visit 

In case of hospitalisation due to critical illness only, and the immediate family member has to visit, in that case the travel expenses will be covered. This benefit can be availed only once in a policy period. The expenses covered under each variant varies such as Rs. 5,000, Rs.15,000 and Rs. 30,000 for Support plus, Shield and Premium Plan respectively. Under this benefit a maximum of 2 members expense will be reimbursed provided the following criteria is fulfilled:

  • The visitor’s expenses will be covered if it is at least 100 km from the original residence of the hospital
  • A medical practitioner recommends personal attendance of any of the immediate family members of the policyholder
  • Travel of the immediate family member has commenced during the period of in-patient hospitalisation of the insured person

1. Critical Illness Cover
One Health Insurance Plan comes with an optional cover that covers critical illnesses. A fixed lump sum amount is paid to the policyholder on detection of critical illness. In order to avail this benefit, the insured person should survive for at least 30 days following the diagnosis of the critical illness. Below is the list of critical illnesses that are covered under this benefit:

  • Cancer of Specified Severity
  • Myocardial Infarction (First Heart Attack of specific severity)
  • Open Chest CABG
  • Open Heart Replacement or Repair of Heart Valves
  • Coma of Specified Severity
  • Kidney Failure requiring Regular Dialysis
  • Stroke resulting in Permanent Symptoms
  • Major Organ/Bone Marrow Transplant
  • Permanent paralysis of Limbs
  • Motor Neurone Disease with Permanent Symptoms
  • Multiple Sclerosis with Persisting Symptoms

2. Voluntary Co-payment
OneHealth plan offers the facility of voluntary Co-payment to its policyholders and is optional. Under voluntary co-payment, the policyholder will bear a percentage of the expenses incurred due to in-patient hospitalisation. This co-payment can be opted over and above the mandatory co-payment clause under the One Health Plan.

3. Personal Accidental
In a situation where the policyholder is injured directly or indirectly due to an accident anywhere in the world, then the company offers the cover amount to the insured person or the nominee in case of demise. The payout is provided by the insurer in events such as
Accidental death and Permanent Total Disablement. This benefit can be availed by paying an additional premium and is optional for the policyholder at the time of purchasing the policy.

4. Maternity Cover
This benefit is available for you and your spouse or even for a widow if during the pregnancy conceiving period. However, this can be availed only after 48 months from the date of purchase of policy. In order to get the maternity cover the policy has to be renewed on a continuous basis. OneHealth Insurance Plan covers the following expenses:

  • Maternity expenses up to the limit of 2 deliveries during the lifetime of the insured person.
  • Hospitalisation of a Newborn Baby and the medical expenses incurring within 90 days from the birth.
  • Vaccination expenses for newborn baby, until the baby completes one year of age

Any individual can purchase the OneHealth Plan from Magma HDI General Insurance. As it is a comprehensive plan, healthcare expenses of every individual as well as his family members are covered. However, there are a few criteria in the Magma HDI One Health Insurance Plan.

One Health Plan has some exclusions that are not considered in case the policyholder makes a claim for the respective:

  • Any treatment for Substance abuse
  • If the policyholder is involved in anyHazardous or adventure sports
  • Treatment of external congenital anomaly
  • If the policyholder undergoes any Cosmetic treatment
  • Any treatment that is not supported by prescription of a medical practitioner or a doctor
